1800.jpg - In the early morning hours of September 22, 1898, a fire broke out at the Mary freeman, Dressmaker and Millinery Shop, located at the corner of West Main Street and Perry Street. The raging fire was difficult to control, and also destroyed a two-story dwelling owned by Abbie Gossert, the Wolfe-Frederickson Blacksmith Shop, and the Livery Stable owned by George Britton.
